Cougars Defeat St. Mary (Ruth), 8-5; Edge Summit Hilltoppers, 2-1, & 15-6
The Cranford baseball Cougars preferred to score in pairs when they hosted the St. Mary (Rutherford) Gaels at Memorial Field in Cranford onApril 27. The Cougars scored twice in the first, third, fourth and sixth innings to pull out an 8-5 victory. The next day, the 9-7 Cougars came up on the better end of a 2-1 decision against the hosting Summit Hilltoppers then on April 30, the hosting Cougars plated 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth and ripped Summit, 15-6.
