WESTFIELD – A suspect is in custody following an hour-long standoff with Union County SWAT and the Westfield Police on Sandra Circle.

Westfield Police Chief Christopher Battiloro described the situation as a “domestic incident” that was ultimately resolved without injury.

No weapons were discharged.

Residents were advised to stay in their homes and avoid the area throughout the duration of the event.
