Very crafty pitching and a number of outstanding plays allowed only one run to score in the first six innings of the softball game in Westfield on April 6 between the No. 13 AL Johnson High School Crusaders and the Blue Devils. Having scored only once in the top of the fifth inning to snap a shutout, the Crusaders tacked on three more runs in the top of the seventh then junior ace pitcher Cassie Conforti struck out the first two Blue Devils she faced in the seventh then got the next to ground out to earn a 40 victory.
