Spring Concert, Friday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. –Spring Concert by Westfield Community Concert Band. Edison Intermediate School, 800 Rahway Avenue, Westfield. Free admission.

Pray and Play, Join your friends at Temple Sholom, 1925 Lake Ave., at 10 am on Saturday, April 11, for music, dancing, stories, and parachute time, followed by bagels and schmoozing. Our monthly Pray and Play is an informal and fun worship experience created especially for children five years old and younger and their families! All are welcome. On Sunday, April 19 at 3:30 p.m. Mostly Music will present a chamber music concert of Mozart, Reger, Haydn and Ravaei featuring flutist Tara Helen O’Connor, violinist Daniel Phillips, violist Paul Neubauer and cellist Peter Wiley. The concert will be held at Temple Emanuel, 756 East Broad Street, Westfield.

Earth Day Celebration at Unami Park, April 22, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Celebrate Earth Day at Unami Park. Come tour the park and learn about the re-forestation and re-wilding project and our progress to date. Visitors are also welcome to join the Unami Forest People and other community volunteers who will be working to create a new meadow. Efforts include weeding and covering the area with cardboard and organic mulch to prepare for fall native flower planting. Wear long pants, boots, and garden gloves. Bring a water bottle, tick spray, a hori hori or your favorite weeding tool. Tools for mulch spreading will be provided. Unami Park, Hickory Avenue & Center Street entrance, Garwood. Choral Art Society of NJ Concert on Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m. at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, 140 Mountain Avenue Westfield. Choral Art Society of NJ invites the community to attend the 2nd concert of its 2025-2026 season. The concert, titled “The Mestre: History’s Classical Bridge from Rio to Vienna”, explores musical connections between the familiar Austrian composers, Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), and the less known Brazilian composer, Jose Mauricio Nunes Garcia (1767-1830). The concert repertoire includes Nunes Garcia’s ‘Requiem’, Haydn’s ‘Kleine Orgelmesse’ (‘Little Organ Mass’), and excerpts from two of Mozart’s operas, ‘Così fan tutte’ (‘So Do They All’) and ‘Die Zauberflöte’ (‘The Magic Flute’). The concert will be conducted by Choral Art Society of NJ’s music director, Seth Velez, and will feature the group’s accompanist, Carol Walker. An orchestra and soloists will join the chorus for this performance. GeneralAdmission tickets are $35. A discounted ticket price of $30 is offered to seniors (65 and older) and students (18 and older) if purchased in advance of concert day. Spring Fling, Sunday, May 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spring Fling Street Fair in Westfield promises to deliver an array of exciting new attractions and all the favorites from years past such as a kid’s zone, including carnival rides, face painting, henna art, and boardwalk-style games. The Fanwood Performance Series presents an evening of contemporary folk music with Hudson Valley duo The Whispering Tree and NYC singer-songwriter Max Batos on Saturday, May 9.
