Hal Aronson
(1932 – 2026)
Dr. Haskell (Hal) Aronson, 93, passed away in Delray Beach, Florida, on March 19, 2026. Son of the late Abraham and Dorothy Aronson of Clifton, New Jersey, Hal was born August 21, 1932. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University before entering Pennsylvania College of Optometry, practicing in New Jersey for sixty years. He is survived by his beloved wife of fiftyfive years, Lynn Diamond Aronson, and his children, Amy Aronson (Albert), Charles Aronson, William Aronson (Deetza), and James Aronson.
Hal was an avid tennis player who loved competing in tournaments in the Palm Greens community in Delray Beach, Florida. Hal and Lynn have been members for many years at Temple Emanu-El in Westfield and Temple Shaarei Shalom in Boynton Beach, Florida, where he was a member of the Men’s Club. Funeral services were Friday, March 27, at 11 a.m. at Temple Emanu-El, 756 East Broad Street, Westfield, New Jersey. Burial to follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
