Westfield YMCA Receives $22,500 Contribution

WESTFIELD — On Friday, March 13, the WestfieldAreaYMCAproudly received a $22,500 donation from the Westfield Area Y Men’s Club. This generous contribution will directly support the YMCA’s Strong Kids+ Campaign, which helps ensure that no one experiencing a bona fide financial hardship who lives or works in Cranford, Garwood, Mountainside, or Westfield is turned away for inability to pay for Y programs and memberships.

A portion of the donation will also support additional Westfield Area YMCA initiatives, including ongoing capital improvements, inclusion camp programming, youth and teen programming, and special populations programs such as Parkinson’s exercise, Stroke Recovery, and Adapt-Ability—social and recreational opportunities for adults with special/adaptive needs ages 18+.

The Westfield Area YMCA deeply appreciates the Club’s long-standing support and partnership. Their continued generosity strengthens the YMCA’s ability to expand the community’s access to vital programs for all ages and abilities. Their valued relationship will continue with the Y Men’s Club supporting the 21st Annual Golf Classic on June 8, 2026.

For information on supporting the Strong Kids+ Campaign and other WestfieldArea YMCAefforts, please visit www.westfieldynj.org/give.

The Westfield Area Y Men’s Club is a 501(c)3 non-profit that raises money for charitable causes. Their primary fundraiser is the annual Christmas Tree Sale at the Elm Street athletic field in Westfield. The Club’s mission is to give back to the local community and support organizations, groups, and individuals that share its values of respect, responsibility, volunteerism, and youth development. To learn more, visit their Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/ YMensClub07090 The Y is the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Financial assistance is available for YMCA programs and memberships for those who qualify.
