Blue Devils Recover to Defeat GL Highlanders in UCT, 59-48
Stunned by a barrage of 3-pointers early in the game, the eight-seeded Westfield High School boys basketball team had to reconsider its tactics against the 17th-seeded Governor Livingston Highlanders in the preliminary round of the Union County Tournament in Westfield on February 10. After having been bombarded by seven 3-pointers and trailing, 2924, in the first half, the Blue Devils readjusted quickly with a 19-6 third quarter and limited the Highlanders to just two more 3-pointers en route to a 59-48 victory.
