Superior talent in its depth gave the top-seeded Westfield High School girls swim team a distinct advantage in it North 2, Group A semifinal meet with the fourth-seeded Columbia Cougars at Wallace Pool in Westfield on February 10. Although touching first in only three individual events and one relay, the 11-1 Blue Devil girls reaped enough second, third and fourth team points, including one sweep, to leave Columbia in their wake and emerge with a 92-78 victory.
