Several years ago, I was hired by Vik to join a new business he was leading. From the start, what stood out wasn’t just his vision, it was how he inspired people to do their best work and created an environment where we thrived together.

When Vik told me he was running for Town Council in Westfield, it didn’t surprise me. He’s the type of leader you love to support.

Just look at what those of us who worked for him have said, in our own words: Melanie Lichtman described him as “one of the most inspiring, innovative, and supportive leaders…an empowering and empathetic one.”

Katie Maier wrote that he “exemplifies what it means to be a leader by putting full faith and support in his team and leading by example.”

Dinoli Rowlands put it more simply: “I would walk through fire for Vik. Inclusive manager, great coach.”

Many emphasized his drive and problem-solving: Michael Sergi recalled, “If he is presented with a task that seems insurmountable, he embraces the challenge and works tirelessly to complete it.”

Mark Flock added, “He could dissect a situation and come up with multiple solutions to weigh potential outcomes and determine the best course of action.”

And I myself wrote: “Vik’s coaching, inspiring leadership, and guidance helped develop my skillset…He fostered a collaborative environment where results thrived and his strategic vision paired with a dedication to excellence was instrumental in our team’s success.”

That’s why I believe Vik will be an outstanding Town Council member for Westfield. The qualities that made him such an exceptional leader: integrity, empathy, inclusivity, and the ability to work with people through challenges and solve tough problems, are exactly the qualities of the community leaders we need.
