Reshma Adwar – Confident And Ready to Lead Ward 1

As someone who’s had the honor of serving on the Westfield Town Council, I’ve met a lot of people who care deeply about our town. But occasionally, you meet someone who really stands out, someone who has that rare mix of energy, kindness, and tenacity. That’s exactly who Reshma Adwar is.

Reshma has what I like to call the three C’s: She’s Can-do, Collaborative, and Committed.

First, she’s a Can-do person. Did you ever meet someone and immediately think, “Now that’s the kind of person who should be leading something”? That was my first impression of Reshma. Long before she ever considered running for Town Council, she was already making a meaningful difference. Throughout her life, she has shown a deep commitment to service: advocating for public health policies on Capitol Hill, combating food insecurity, and educating teens and expectant mothers about nutrition and physical activity. Here in Westfield, she’s been a dedicated volunteer at her children’s school, lending her energy to the habitat garden, school play, and cultural events. And she’s done it all with her trademark enthusiasm and focus on creating a vibrant, inclusive environment for every child.

Second, she’s Collaborative. Having served on the Council, I know that nothing gets done unless people work together. Reshma gets that. She’ll listen carefully, bring folks together, and find common ground. Whether it’s residents, town staff, or local organizations, she will build strong partnerships and turn good ideas into real progress.

And finally, she’s Committed. Reshma brings an incredible spirit and optimism to everything she does. She and I have talked at length about public safety. She’s full of thoughtful, practical ideas, especially regarding pedestrian safety and e-bike use. She wants to make our streets safer for everyone: kids walking to school, parents pushing strollers, cyclists, and joggers alike.

Reshma’s vision is simple: a Westfield where pedestrians come first, and everyone feels safe getting around town.

I know what it takes to serve on the Council. Reshma has the heart, the drive, and the skill to be a terrific representative for Ward 1.

So, on Tuesday, November 4th, I encourage you to vote for Reshma Adwar for Westfield Town Council. She brings the perfect skill set to serve Ward 1 and our town.

Mike Dardia

Ward 2, Westfield Town Council
