Across the board determination and a complete game performance was needed if the Westfield High School football team would have any chance of upsetting a very strong Ridge Red Devil team that strutted onto Gary Kehler Stadium on October 25 having lost only to a pair of Top-20 teams. The pieces of the puzzle did indeed fit together perfectly, the Blue Devils’ defense held the Red Devils in check and the offense pulled off just enough timely drives to earn a 14-7 triumph. It was the first victory over Ridge since 2017.
