I enthusiastically endorse Michal Domogala for Mayor. This is based on his high level of integrity, passion for doing what is right, outstanding commitment to our town based on his performance as Councilman Ward 3, keen listening skills, and professional competence anchored in deep financial acumen. Moreover, his campaign is based on a compelling vision for the future of Westfield expressed in his strategic plan which is anchored in citizen concerns with actionable, achievable goals, objectives and corresponding metrics. Michal will continue to focus on strengthening the process of how decisions are made by the Town Council by implementing a transparent and effective process centered on listening to the concerns of residents. He is intensely dedicated and invests a great deal of time in addressing what is best for Westfield. Transparency is his hallmark and exactly what Westfield needs both now and directing us into the future. Westfield citizens want to be heard, and Michal will ensure that we are listened to, valued, and that our concerns are addressed and built into whatever solution is put forth. He has demonstrated this in his current role as Councilman of Ward 3. He works around the clock in his service to Westfield and will continue to do so.

As a financial executive with a stellar record of business excellence, he is well versed in financial and budgetary matters and will lead our town to achieve sustained financial success. Most importantly, he is the best person to navigate the complexities of the implementation of One Westfield Place. We need someone who has been involved in the history and details of the One Westfield project to ensure the developer is held to the highest standards and executes flawlessly. The success of this project will be determined by how well the project is implemented and how effectively issues, as they arise, are dealt with immediately. He is clearly best suited to doing this.

Moreover, Michal is a natural leader. He cherishes diversity and practices an inclusive leadership style. Evidence of his highly effective leadership profile can be seen in the most recent October 9 debate of the mayoral candidates seeking election hosted by the Westfield Leader. I strongly encourage everyone to access the debate and see first-hand his command of the critical challenges facing our town (overdevelopment being the most dominant and the center of many pressing issues). His rock-solid integrity, strong leadership, communication skills, and high operational competence (he understands specifically how the Council operates within the confines of town/ state government procedures) is exactly what our town needs and deserves. We desperately need this now and can afford no less.
