Raiders Nip New Providence, 2-1, 2 OT; Thump Rahway, No. Plainfield in Soccer
The No. 9 Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School boys soccer team really turned up the volume to blast the 7-3 Rahway Indians, 4-0, on their own field on September 30. The very next day at the same venue, in a continuation of a game that was postponed, the Raiders went to the limit with the New Providence Pioneers but managed to prevail, 2-1, in two overtimes. On October 4, the 9-0-2 Raiders cruised with a 6-0 shutout over the North Plainfield Canucks.
