I write to enthusiastically endorse Jenn Gilman for Westfield Town Council, Ward 3.
Jenn has shown her commitment to our town through many years of service in our schools and community. I first got to know Jenn when my daughter was part of the Girl Scout troop she co-led during our girls’ elementary school years. In this role, she encouraged young girls to be leaders and give back by donating gifts to a local children’s hospital, planting trees, and selling cookies.
During that same timeframe, Jenn also dedicated herself to our beloved Jefferson School. Each year, she contributed her time to the Jefferson Jubilee, the school’s biggest fundraiser. She and other parent volunteers created and then taught the students a dance, which they rehearsed weekly. Jenn helped supervise the children’s performance in the school-wide show. Significantly, in addition to leading a group, Jenn served as a producer of Jubilee more than once, raising vital funds for the school. Jenn was also a devoted class parent, always stepping up to support her daughters’ classrooms and the Jefferson community.
Jenn embodies leadership. She was elected President of the Jefferson PTO and later served as President of the Edison Intermediate School PTO. Both schools benefited greatly from her steady guidance and devotion.
Jenn is hard-working, passionate, and spirited. She is also approachable, thoughtful, and fun. She has shown her loyalty to Westfield’s residents and is eager to serve in a new role. Jenn would bring new energy to Ward 3 and to our town as a whole if elected to the Town Council. She has my vote, and I encourage you to give her yours too!
With thanks,
Holly Gerstenfeld Westfield
