Cougars Outrun Ramblers In Home Grid Opener, 25-14
Several timely defensive plays, a fortunate break on a penalty and some hard running by sophomore Logan Murray guided the Cranford High School football Cougars on the right path to glory in the home opener against the Carteret Ramblers at Memorial Field in Cranford on September 12. The timely defensive plays resulted in a pair of safeties and two back-to-back throws for losses, the penalty negated a Rambler touchdown and Murray scooted for a pair of touchdowns to earn the Cougars a 25-14 triumph.
