Norma G. Huber
March 25, 1930 to August 18, 2025

Norma G. Huber, 95, passed away Monday, August 18 in her home. Born in Union City, NJ, to German immigrants, the late Richard & Gertrude (Rostock) Fischer, Norma has lived in Mountainside for over 60 years. She graduated Jonathan Dayton High School, being a member of the 49er graduating class.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Norma Jr., and her grandchildren, Andrew, Joey and Madison Huber. She is also survived by a great-grandson, Richard, and the other two children (now adults) in her life, Kelly and Matthew Rice. She also leaves behind a few cousins and relatives both in the US & Germany. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph J. Huber and her beloved children, Heidi Marie and Joseph J. Huber Jr.

Norma was a member of many Mountainside organizations thru the years. She was an active 50 year member of the Deutscher Club Clark. She also participated in Bavarian folk dancing. She was a member of GTEV Schlierachter Stamm and Miesbach. During the summer, Norma was a fixture at the Mountainside Community Pool since 1967. She was an avid knitter and crafter. Norma also enjoyed reading, sudoku and watching football -and let us not forget her love for cruising and traveling with Tony and New Beginnings.

Friends and relatives are invited to her Memorial service to be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Rahway on Elm & Esterbrook on Friday October 10, 2025 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mountainside Rescue Squad, Deutscher Club Clark or Zion Lutheran Church in Rahway.
