Eileen V. Marino Beloved Wife, Mother,
Grandmother and Great-Grandmother

Eileen Veronica (née Fallon) Marino, 92, of Fanwood, New Jersey, died peacefully at home on July 24, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Eileen was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Louis B. Marino.

She is survived by son Kenneth Marino, son Kevin and daughter-in-law Rita Marino, daughter Lorraine and son-in-law Jack Seabrook, grandchildren Thomas Seabrook (Bryn), Harrison Marino (Kaitlin), Michele (née Seabrook) Zampini ( Daniel), Stephen Marino (Caitlin), great-grandsons Robert Seabrook, Edward Seabrook, and John Marino, and many nieces and nephews.

A devout Catholic and a woman of strong moral character, Eileen was blessed with intelligence, wit, beauty, and deep faith. She took great pride in hosting her beloved family and kept a beautiful home filled with warmth, love, food, books, and music. Eileen was a thoughtful listener and source of advice, wisdom, and comfort to those around her. A gifted storyteller, she delighted in writing a series of children’s stories for her grandchildren during their younger years.

Eileen was born to Harry and Charlotte (née Rudolph) Fallon in New York City on March 1, 1933. She was a loving younger sister to William and Thomas Fallon, remaining close to them throughout their lives. She graduated from Cathedral High School in New York City and worked at New York Life before marrying the love of her life, Louis, on September 8, 1951. The couple began married life in a Manhattan apartment, started a family, and eventually built a house in Scotch Plains, N.J. In the early 1970s, they moved to nearby Fanwood, where they spent many happy decades. After raising her children, Eileen, an avid reader and lifelong learner, returned to work as a part-time librarian at the Fanwood Memorial Library, spending 27 years there before retiring in 2015.

A private Funeral Mass was celebrated on August 11, 2025, at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church in Scotch Plains, N.J., with Fr. Matthew Gonzalez officiating, followed by entombment in the mausoleum at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Watchung, N.J. Memorial donations may be made to PBS.
