FANWOOD/SCOTCH PLAINS — Fanwood Recreation proudly announces the debut public performance of Women In Harmony, an all-women’s choir bringing together voices from across the community under the direction of former music teacher, Debbie Shapiro. After months of dedicated rehearsal, Women In Harmony will take the stage for the first time on Monday, June 16th at 7:30 PM at Malcolm E. Nettingham Middle School, located at 580 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains. The evening promises to be a joyful celebration of music, featuring favorite hits from Broadway and pop music history — a concert sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Led by Shapiro, who retired from the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District and touched countless lives with her passion for music education, the choir brings together women of all backgrounds, united by a love of singing and community. This event is open to the public. Families, friends, and community members are warmly invited to come and support these talented singers as they bring decades of musical favorites to life.
The concert date is Monday, June 16, 2025 at 7:30 PM. It is being held at Malcolm E. Nettingham Middle School (formerly Park Middle School), 580 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ. Admission is free.
