The second-seeded Westfield baseball Blue Devils swamped 15thseeded Rahway, 17-0 in the first round of the Union County Tournament on May 10. The fifth-seeded Cranford Cougars ousted 12th-seeded New Providence, 8-1, and the ninth-seeded AL Johnson Crusaders ousted eighthseeded Summit, 10-0. The seventhseeded Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders were stunned by the 10th-seeded Brearley Bears, 3-1.
Blue Devil winning pitcher Logan Revock tossed a one-hitter, walked three and struck out for against Rahway. Jake Alfano went 3-for-4 with a home run, pair of doubles, five RBI, a stolen base and three runs scored. Jordan Walsh went 3-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. Braedan Trajkovski walked, was hit twice, scored twice and stole a base. Liam Sullivan doubled, was hit three times, had an RBI and scored three runs. Pete Cabrales had an RBI.
