After being stunned, 3-2, in overtime by the 6-1-1 Livingston Lancers three days earlier, the Westfield High School boys ice hockey team was still reeling and lost to the 4-3-1 Governor Livingston Highlanders, 3-2, on December 30. However, on January 4, the Blue Devils got even with the Lancers in a big way with a 7-2 triumph.
