CRANFORD – One of the most enchanting musicals of all time, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is coming to CDC Theatre, 78 Winans Ave. in Cranford, NJ with eight performances December 6th-15th.
This ‘tale as old as time’ is based on Disney’s Academy Award-winning film and features the timeless story you love, along with all your favorite characters and songs. The romantic and beloved fairytale recounts the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end, and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton, the show has all the wonderful songs made famous in the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, along with new ones written for the stage adaptation.
