FANWOOD – Matt Cook & The Heard is a five-piece band based in Asbury Park. Mr. Cook writes songs that range from melancholic to exuberant, drawing influence from artists including Brian Wilson and Ben Folds. He plays both as a solo artist and with The Heard, a band anchored in its members’ friendship and mutual admiration of one another’s musical endeavors.
