The Westfield High School girls tennis team lost to the Ridge Red Devils, 3-2, in the first round of the Livingston September Smash on September 14 then rebounded to nip the JP Stevens Hawks, 3-2, in the consolation round. On September 17, the 44 Blue Devil girls suffered a 4-1 setback at the rackets of the 7-1 Summit Hilltoppers.
