Blue Devils Top Kent Place, Hightstown, Rahway Indians in Girls Volleyball

The Westfield High School girls volleyball team came up on the good side of a marathon two-game battle with the Kent Place Dragons on September 9. The Blue Devils won the first game, 25-23, but endured to win the second game, 33-31. Next, the Blue Devils defeated Heightstown, 25-10, 25-11, on September 10 then two days later in Westfield, the 4-0 Blue Devils defeated the Rahway Indians, 25-17, 25-16. Ava Gaspard notched 12 kills, 12 digs and six services with two aces against the Dragons. Catie Carayannopoulos recorded three kills, three blocks, six digs, an assist and six services with an ace. Vicky Morey recorded four kills, eight digs, a block and seven services with an ace. Emelia Dengler dished out 21 assists and added a kill, seven digs and six services with an ace. Sabrina Muller had two kills, two blocks and a dig.Audrey Hu had five services, eight digs and an assist. Audrey Stack had four digs and a service. Lilly Wood had two blocks and three digs. Faith Gorski scooped four digs.
