UNION COUNTY SENIOR 60+ A DIVISION RUNNERS UP...Deegan Roofing beat Swan Hotels & Suites in Game 2 but fell short in Game 3 to become runners up. The Deegan Roofing squad consisted of (in no particular order) Chris Jones, Don Miller, Rob Hawk, Rob Stratton, John Rachko, Sal Martino, Felix Velez, Pat Nigro, Willie Jackson, Bruce Evans, Lou Balestriere, Rich Regenthal and Tom Donnelly. Swan Hotel Tops Deegan, 7-4, For UC 60+ A Division Crown

Perfection took a side step, so it all came down to Game 3 between topseeded Swan Hotel & Suites and second- seeded Deegan Roofing for the Union County Senior 60+ A Division championship at Memorial Field 3 in Linden onAugust 5. Unlike the 17-13 slugfest in Game 2 won by the Deeganators, Game 3 was controlled by cagy pitching and strategically positioned defense with the nod and the crown going to the Swans in a 74 victory.
