Douglas Denies Deegan, 15-14, In Union County 50+ Softball

The ability to get off the line quickly was needed if Douglas VW wanted enough cushion to keep ahead of annual rival Deegan Roofing in a Union County Senior 50+ Men’s Softball League A Division showdown at Memorial Field 3 in Linden on July 2. The Douglas VW men did just that with a 12-1 lead after two innings but had to score a few more runs in the later innings to edge the Deeganators, 15-14.
