Swan Hotel 19, Linwood II 6 After a 4-run 2 out rally in the 1st inning by Swan, Linwood bounced back with 5 runs in the bottom of the inning but fizzled later. Jimmy Jimenez pitched lights out as the Swannies’ had 7 players with multiple hit nights and a stellar defensive performance.

Angry Joes 27, AJ Jersey 15 Angry Joe’s (34 hits) – Kevin Carroll (4-4, 2 doubles, 2 triples), Ken Murray (4-4), Scott Graham (3 hits, 2B, 3B), Bill Early (3 hits, including 2 doubles).

Linwood Boys 12, Deegan Roof 8 Lou Balasteros was 3-3 and Art Paradise, Mike Backus, Bruce Evans and Tom Straniero all had 2 hits each for the Roofers.

Kenilworth VFW 25, DeBellis 4 Leading Kenilworth – Bob D’Meo (4-4, 4 runs, HR), Keith Durrett (4-4, 4 runs), Chris Kaminiski (3-4, HR, 6 RBI); with 3 hits a piece Dave Ball (3 runs), Greg Hartnett, Whitey McCormack (3 runs) and Ed Klecan (3 RBI). Don Montefusco (2-3) and Tom DeRocco added 3 RBI each. Dan Mendoza (HR) and Greg T each had 2 hits.

Awnings Galore 18, Yogis Boys 7 For the Shadesters – with three hits each – Billy Hillyer, Bruce Crawford, Jerry Isolda, Paul Newton, Dave Kirsch and Tom Beninato; two hits each – Rich Traub, Rich Polonitza, Ray Meigs, John Campanella and Ozzie Osborn.

Swan Hotel 18, Linwood Boys 11 Swan started the game with a 6-run 1st inning that set the pace for the rest of the game. Solid pitching performance from Jimmy Jimenez. There were 6+ hitting stars on offense for the Hotel.

Angry Joe’s Apparel 20, Debellis 4 Bill Early, Kevin Carroll, Gerard McDermott, Tom Rutkowski, Jerry Gaeta, Gary Schaller each had 3 hits and Scott Graham (2 hits, HR).

Awnings 12, Kenilworth VFW 6 Trailing 6-4 lead in the 7th inning, Awnings put an 8 spot for the win. Shadesters – Rich Traub, Bruce Crawford, Paul Newton, Rick Demsey, Gary Cutler, Mike Carnevale and Ozzie Osborn contributed two hits apiece.

Yogi’s Boys 17, NJGovt’l Services 12 NJGS scored 11 runs to lead the game 11-6 then Yogi’s Boys plated 11 runs and held NJGS to a single run for the remainder of the game. G-men Joe Hrubash (4 hits), John Llano and Keith McDede (3 hits); Joe Attanasi, Rich Conklin, Bill Moore and Tomas Cruz (2 hits each); Gary Epstein (solo HR), Gino Raisley (at 3rd base – 4 great defensive plays).
