Douglas VW 9, Rocky’s Grill 6 Leading the V Dubs – Dan Righetti (3-for-3); Lou Rivera (HR), Chris Yee (2 doubles), Frank Padovano and Mike Hoffmann all with 2 hits. The Barmen of Rocky’s scored their first two runs in the fifth brought the tying run to the plate in the 7th. Rocky’s was led by Rick Knierim (3-for-4); Gary Roman, Bill Hilyer, Ellan Ben-Hayon and Frank Mastrocola (all 2-for-3).

Deegan Roofing 20, Thirsty Turtle 5 The Deeganators pounding 20 runs on 24 hits in innings 2 through 5 to pull away from Thirsty Turtle. Pitcher John Deitch (had a 3-pitch inning, and perfect at plate); Nick Mennona, Tom Ulichny and Billy Aumenta (all 3-3); Scott Mugele, Mike Juchnik and Ron Patterson (each with multiple extra base hits).

Terawulf 14, Angry Joe’s 7

After trailing 3-0, Terawulf answered with 6 runs and rumbled from there behind a strong pitching performance by CP Arnaldo and clutch hitting by Jaime Reyes, Osvaldo Dominguez, Ivan Rosa and hitting star Tio Espinal.

Angry Joe’s/Tad Pools offensewas led by Kevin Robinson and Steve D’Amato (3 hits each); Vinnie Rappa, Rudie Matthijs, Tim Mulhall, Greg Griffin and Steve Bertono (2 hits each).

Suspenders 10, Echo Tap & Grille 8 Suspenders broke an 8-8 tie in the bottom of the 6th scoring the decisive 2 runs with 2 outs. Nick Meltzer had 3 hits and drove in the go ahead run. Tony Taddeo (bases-loaded, 2-run double) and Gregg Herzfeld (3 RBI) sparked Suspenders. Rick Gregorio and Angelo Puerari (2 hits apiece). The Grill meisters loaded the bases with no outs in the 7th but failed to score. For Echo Tap & Grille – Tom Renna (3-for-3), Dr Rob Wallace (3for-4), Cruz Moctezuma (2-for-3), Joe Sheridan hit a dinger.
