UC Conference Girls Track Results:

The Union Catholic Viking girls track team handily captured first in the Union County Conference Watchung Division at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights on May 9-10. The Viking girls totaled 200.33, followed by the Raiders at 82.33 and the Blue Devils at 78.33. The Cranford Cougars placed second in the Mountain Division with a total of 118 and the AL Johnson Crusaders placed fourth in the Valley at 80.33.

Day 1 Watchung had the Union Catholic Vikings gobbling up most of the top placements but Raiders Sarah Sicoli at 10-6 and Eva Pereira at 9-0 placed 1-2 in the pole vault followed by Blue Devil Lina Wright at 8-6. Blue Devil Livia Reyes placed second in the discus with a toss of 93-1 and Raider Elaina Yick was fourth at 86-6. Raider Keira Kelly was third in the long jump with a leap of 16-10 and Blue Devil Cheyenne Blackwell was fifth at 16-2.5.

Raider Delaney Farley finished third in the 100 dash with a time of 11.79, followed by Blue Devil Sean O’Brien at 12.08. Blue Devil Darcy Scheiner finished sixth at 12.43. Raider StephanieAgwu finished third in the 400-hurdles at 1:10.2 and teammate Zoe Hopkins was sixth at 1:11.26, followed by Blue Devil Victoria Gee at 1:11.88.

Raiders Kelly at 1:00.18,Abi Elliott at 1:01.52 and Tyler Midrano at 1:02.22 finished 4-5-6 in the 400. Blue Devils Anna Kylish at 5:25.56 and Emma Pranke at 5:28.87 finished 5-6 in the 1600.

In the Mountain, Cougar Kristen Fries placed second in the shot put with a shove of 36-10.5. Courtney Toy finished second in the 1600 with a time of 5:16.14 and Caitlin Owens was fifth at 5:31.2. Isabela Alvarez-Gomez finished second in the 400hurdles at 1:04.13. Ellie Semple at 1:05.84 and Lilly Costello at 1:08.59 finished 4-6. Semple finished second in the 100 at 12.89. Toy at 1:00.72 and Alvarez-Gomez at 1:01.03 finished 4-5 in the 400.

For Valley, AL Johnson’s Kaileigh Netland at 88-4 and Julia Lettini at 84-11 placed 2-4 in the javelin.

On Day 2 Watchung, Farley finished second in the 200 at 24.87, followed by O’Brien at 25.05, while Scheiner was fifth at 25.87. Raiders Elliott, Savannah Hudson, Maddy Valera and Farley took third in the 4×400 at 4:13.69. Blue Devil Anna Youssef was third in the 3200 at 11:58.59. Hopkins was fourth in the 100-hurdles at 15.91, followed by Blue Devil Lilly Petrie at 16.13. Blue Devil Olivia Thornton finished fifth in the 800 at 2:26.88.

Blue Devil Reyes took second in the shot put at 31-10. Raider Mackenzie Virgil was second in the javelin at 102-4. Blue Devils Priscilla Dayon at 90-4 and Emma Sullivan at 89-0, and Raider Isabella Lacata at 86-3 placed 3-5-6. Blue Devils Grace Kim with a distance of 32-7 and Morgan Samet at 32-1.5 placed 4-5 in the triple jump. Blue Devils Jordan Hadel at 4-8 and Laura Oliveira at 45 placed 3-4 in the high jump.

For Mountain, Semple was second in the 200 at 26.51. Alvarez-Gomez, Costello, Maddy Lionetti and Toy finished second in the 4×400 at 4:15.44. Owens was second in the 3200 at 12:03.81 and Maanya Kuthethur was sixth at 12:26.85. Toy took third in the 800 at 2:25.65. Alvarez-Gomez at 15.81 finished third in the 100-hurdles. Damara Barnes won the triple jump with a distance of 34-85 and Alexa Nofi was third at 33-8. Liz Wallin was fourth in the javelin at 86-3 and sixth in the discus at 74-7.

For Valley, Mackenzie Thompson, Grace Gloster,Avery Forfa andAlexa Restrepo finished first in the 4×400 at 4:17.96. Restrepo was second in the 800 at 2:35.65. Leah Scepkowski finished first in the 100-hurdles at 17.66 and Liz Brighouse was fourth at 19.25. Brighouse took fourth in the high jump at 4-6.
