Mayor Gives State of Clark Township

As your mayor, it is both an honor and a privilege to have entered another year together and to provide an update on the state of Clark Township. Before I delve into the details, I must take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Township Council, Business Administrator Jim Ulrich, Department Heads, and all Township employees. Your dedication, commitment, and attention to detail have truly made my job easier. Together, we have been able to uphold our shared goal of providing exceptional service to our residents.

In the face of continued inflation and rising costs across goods and services, I am pleased to announce that we have worked diligently to present a budget for this year with only a modest $42 average increase per home. Despite the challenges posed by economic fluctuations, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to minimizing the financial burden on our residents while ensuring that all essential services are maintained to the highest standards.

Furthermore, I am excited to share with you the beginning of our green initiatives. In the coming year, we will be initiating the installation of solar panels on all Township buildings. This significant step forward not only signifies our dedication to sustainability but also promises longterm cost savings for our town. By harnessing renewable energy sources, we are not only reducing our environmental footprint but also contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for generations to come.

Additionally, I am pleased to announce that we will continue our shared services with the Clark Board of Education. This collaborative working relationship not only provides cost savings but also ensures greater availability of resources for both organizations, ultimately resulting in the best outcomes for our constituents.

Finally, I would like to extend my gratitude to Senator Scutari and the Union County Commissioners for their unwavering support of the Town of Clark. Their eorts in securing funding to dredge the reservoir mark the first step toward creating a wonderful recreational opportunity in our township. This project demonstrates our collective commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and further solidifies our position as a thriving and vibrant community.

As we move forward, I urge all residents to continue to actively engage with us, share your feedback, and participate in our community events. Together, we can overcome any challenges and build a brighter future for our township.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support, and I look forward to continuing to serve you in the days ahead.

Mayor Sal Bonaccorso Clark
