Library Reveals Programs For Youth and Families
RAY BAILEY AWARD HONOREE...During the Westfield High School Football Awards Dinner December 12, Max Cho was presented with the Ray Bailey Scholastic Award. Ray Bailey was an outstanding basketball and baseball player at Westfield High School who died tragically in November of 1959. Ray also was a star baseball player for the American Legion Post 3 in Westfield. Since the 1960s, the post has sponsored this award to the senior varsity football player with the highest grade point average. Max was one of the captains of the team and played quarterback. He will attend Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., where he will play college football and major in engineering.
