Eleanor Cafaro (née Mullen) was born into eternal grace after a short illness and a wonderful life on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. She resided in Long Beach Island, N.J., and Westfield, N.J.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., to Basil and Cecilia Mullen, Eleanor and her younger brother, Leo, moved to Linden, N.J. She graduated Linden High School, where she met her future husband, Joseph Cafaro.
Eleanor and Joseph were married in 1962 and settled in Westfield, N.J., in 1968, where they raised their family.
Eleanor is survived by her children, David Adam and Caroline Ann, both of Westfield. Additionally, she is survived by her niece and nephew Susan and Christopher Mullen; her sister-in-law, Ann Cafaro of Cranford, N.J.; nephews Anthony, John, Joseph and Michael, and a niece, Patricia Louise.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, of 56 years, in January 2019.
Services were held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and were in the care of Dooley Colonial Home of Westfield (www.dooleycolonialfuneralhome.com).
