Stiff competition was expected and stiff competition they got when the top-seeded Westfield High School volleyball girls hosted the sixthseeded Elizabeth Lady Minutemen for the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 Championship before a packed house in Westfield on November 7. The 14th-ranked, 21-4 Blue Devils cruised relatively well through Game 1, winning 25-15, but after grabbing what seemed to be a huge lead, they had to withstand a gallant comeback in Game 2, but held strong to win 2520 and earn their second sectional crown in a row. On November 9, the Blue Devils fell to No. 4, undefeated Morristown, 25-19, 25-12, in the Group 4 Semifinals.
