Blue Devils Halt Kent Place, Stunned by Royals in UCT

The top-seeded No. 5 Westfield High School girls soccer team extended its record to 10-0 with a 3-0 shutout of the Kent Place Dragons in the quarterfinal round of the Union County Tournament Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on October 10. On October 13, however, the Blue Devils’ 54-game winning streak was snapped by the fourth-seeded, 8-3 Oak Knoll Royals, 1-0, in the semifinal round atAL Johnson High School in Clark.
