Glen Ridge Burns Blue Devils On Field Hockey Penalty Shot

“Senior Day” for the Westfield High School field hockey team ended in a very questionable fashion when the Glen Ridge Ridgers visited Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on September 20. With the score tied, 2-2, a mad scramble near the Blue Devil goal resulted in an awarded penalty shot with 35 seconds remaining that the Ridgers made good on for a 3-2 victory.
