Erika Vargas-Garrison: A Natural Born Leader

Erika Vargas-Garrison and I have worked together for the past five years at the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. During that time, I witnessed Erika achieve remarkable accomplishments. As Director of the Patron Services Department, Erika has played a key role in reviewing and advancing the interior design concepts for the agency-wide Service Area Renovation Program. She has also done a fantastic job in overseeing a Solar Highway Signage Program for the Sunoco fuel division.

Erika was never overwhelmed by the tasks placed in front of her, no matter what was involved. She always has a clear vision of how projects need to be moved forward. Those working with her find her to be both a guiding force and an inspiration. She seems to have an inherent ability to keep a team on the right pathway. Erika has always taken on the role of motivator and leader, bringing all of her work to the finish line on all occasions.

Erika has a gift for handling all customer concerns for the agency. Those accomplishments exemplify her true character. Erika is a natural-born leader, an enthusiastic motivator, and a gifted speaker. She not only has the ability to see where Westfield needs to go as a community, but she also clearly understands how to get us there. She can inspire others around her in getting the job done.

Erika is a great listener, and I am confident she will always be open to input and ideas from all stakeholders on town-wide issues.

Erika is exactly the type of leader Westfield needs. I encourage voters to cast their ballot for Erika for Ward 2 in this November’s Town Council election.
