Freshman goalkeeper Ryan Friedberg was named the Ivy League’s Rookie of the Year (Fall 2022), after posting a 14-4-2 record with a 1.01 goalsagainst average and a .685 save percentage. Friedberg’s 14 wins are the most by a freshman on record in Cornell program history and his win total is the third-most by a Big Red goalkeeper. Prior to Cornell, the 6’5′ Friedberg played for Eric Shaw and Bernie Cuddy, Westfield High School Boys’ Varsity Coaches, and Dan Severn, Technical Director Union County FC.
