St. Ignatius Stuns Vinnies, 15-4 In St. Bart’s Softball Playoffs

Astronomers may say, “It was in the stars.” Gamblers may say, “It wasn’t in the cards.” Prophets may say, “The Gods were against them.” And pass-the-buck “experts” may say it was because of the dense cloud cover. However there was no doubt about it that when second-seeded St. Vincent hosted eighth-seeded St. Ignatius, the heavy cloud cover was hovering just over them during a double elimination game of the St. Bart’s Oldtimers Men’s Softball League playoffs at Brookside Park in Scotch Plains on August 28.
