GWACC Chamber of Commerce Announces 32nd Annual FestiFall

WESTFIELD – It is time for the 32nd Annual GWACC Chamber of Commerce’s FestiFall in downtown Westfield. FestiFall in Westfield began in 1990 and has continued to evolve andgrowoverthepastthirty-threeyears. The event this year is sponsored by Lukin Center for Psychotherapy and will be held on CentralAvenue running from E. Broad Street to North Avenue. FestiFall will include the parking lot across from the Post Office as well as the section of Lenox Avenue. The date is Sunday, September 10 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. (rain or shine).

A fun filled day for all ages, the event will have many diverse food vendors as well as many merchandise vendors. Explore a bustling marketplace featuring unique crafts, artworks, and handmade products from local artisans. Treat the kids to a day of fun in the Children’s Zone, complete with a selection of rides and bounces. Savor a diverse selection of cuisines at the Food Court, catering to various palates and preferences. Relax andunwindintheBeerGardenonLenox Avenue, offering a selection of beers and wines, courtesy of The Crossroads. It is expected that entertainment will be provided by Valencia Music om Quimby Street and the New Jersey Workshop of the Arts at the corner of Central and Lenox. The Westfield Robotics Club will once again have a demonstration there as well. Be sure to arrive early and stay for the day. GWACC will also be conducting their 50/50 raffle to support theGWACC501c3Foundationthatprovides scholarships for senior in area high schools. Admission is free. After visiting FestiFall, be sure to take a stroll through town and check out the many different stores.

Central Avenue will be closed to traffic beginning at 6 a.m. from North Avenue to E. Broad Street. Downtown residents on CentralAvenue and Lenox are reminded to park in municipal lots, out of the FestiFall area.

Please note, pets, skateboarding, bike riding and roller blading are prohibited in the FestiFall area. This rule is for the safety of attendees of all ages. FestiFall attendees are also encouraged to park in the South Avenue train station parking lot. This will provide the closest parking to the activity area, with easy access to North Avenue through the convenient underpass at theWestfieldTrain Station.
